Retina cross section

A thin gently curved multilayered cross-section of the retina lining the inner wall of the eye, depicted as a smooth arc with clearly stratified horizontal bands across its thickness. The layers are shown in soft pinks, creams, tans, beige, pale reds, and pale yellow, with a slightly darker outer edge. Detailed versions include an outer pigmented and photoreceptor side with elongated photoreceptors, intermediate plexiform and nuclear layers with round neuronal cell bodies, and an inner ganglion cell and nerve fiber layer facing the vitreous. The tissue has subtle lamination, a delicate slightly translucent appearance, and a clean anatomical cross-sectional style.
