A free-swimming medusa-form jellyfish with a smooth translucent umbrella-shaped to dome-shaped bell, softly rounded at the top and nearly transparent in very pale blue, pink, lavender, purple, whitish, or almost colorless tones. The gelatinous bell shows simple radial symmetry with faint internal radial canals or lines visible through the body, and may have a softly frilled or ruffled lower margin. Beneath the bell hangs a central mouth structure with delicate frilled oral arms, while numerous long, thin trailing tentacles of varying lengths extend downward from the bell margin. Overall appearance is soft, flowing, and gently edged.
