Collector base junction reverse biased

Clean educational electronics diagram of the collector-base p-n junction in reverse bias, shown as adjoining semiconductor regions with the p-type base on one side and the n-type collector on the other. The p-type side is at lower potential with a negative polarity mark near the base, and the n-type collector side has a positive polarity mark, indicating reverse bias across the junction. Between them is a clearly widened pale depletion region or barrier band separating the two regions. The semiconductor sides may be lightly tinted red for p-type and blue for n-type, in a textbook-style schematic close-up of the collector-base interface.
