P channel mosfet cross section

A physical cross-sectional view of a p-channel MOSFET in compact symmetric textbook style. Show a lightly colored n-type substrate or n-well with two heavily doped p+ source and drain regions on either side of a narrow channel region. Above the channel, place a thin pale gate oxide layer and a central rectangular gray polysilicon or metal gate. The silicon surface is flat, and the source and drain appear as darker diffused blocks flanking the gate. Use textbook colors such as light blue or light gray for the substrate or well, reddish tones for the p+ source and drain, dark gray for the gate, and a very thin light oxide layer.
