Femoral nerve

Large femoral peripheral nerve in clean anatomical style, shown as a thick pale-to-yellow cordlike trunk with a slightly flattened oval profile and smooth outer sheath. The main trunk is broad and robust proximally, gently elongated or descending vertically, with subtle fascicular or longitudinal striated texture on the surface. Distally it tapers slightly and divides into several smaller branches or thinner fascicles that fan outward, including fine terminal twigs and short branchlets from one side in a plexus-like pattern, emphasizing that it is a major nerve larger than nearby cutaneous branches.
