1. Before You Delete
Important: Account deletion does NOT automatically cancel paid subscriptions.
If you have an active subscription:
- Cancel your subscription first (Account → Settings → Subscription → Cancel)
- Wait for cancellation confirmation
- Then proceed with account deletion
If you delete without canceling, contact help@gpai.app immediately.
2. How to Delete (In-App)
Recommended method:
- Open GPAI and sign in
- Go to Account → Settings
- Select "Delete my account"
- Type
DELETEto confirm
This verifies ownership and starts deletion immediately.
3. How to Delete (Email)
If you can't sign in, email help@gpai.app with:
- Your registered email address
- Platform (Android / iOS / Web)
- Reason (optional)
We'll verify ownership before processing.
4. What Gets Deleted
From GPAI:
- Profile and login credentials
- All your content (uploads, notes, chats, quizzes)
- Account preferences and history
- Analytics identifiers linked to your account
5. What Gets Retained
Some data is retained for legal/security reasons:
- Security logs: Up to 90 days
- Backups: Deleted within 30 days
- Payment records (via Paddle): 7 years for tax compliance

6. Important Notes
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
- You can create a new account, but past data won't return
- Processing takes up to 30 days to complete across all systems
